As Visa celebrates the opening of four global innovation centers this year, it also celebrates its place on the annual Forbes World’s Most Innovative Companies list. Citing Visa’s well-known payment brand, fraud protection capabilities and range of payments products and platforms including for digital and mobile, Forbes ranked Visa #27, up from #32 last year, on the list of 100 global companies.
Innovation has been core to Visa’s DNA since the company was founded in 1958. Since that time, Visa has championed innovation to further payment acceptance, convenience and security for everyone, everywhere. This year, Visa launched several key efforts, including its Visa Developer Center, which provides developers with easy access to Visa’s APIs and SDKs; expanding Click to Pay to new continents and hundreds of thousands of merchants; and piloting new payment wearables.
