Visa and Chevron have just completed more than 20 station upgrades in the San Francisco Bay Area to enable mobile payments at the pump and make travel easier as you hit the road for the holidays.
These station upgrades come after Visa and Chevron announced plans just over a month ago to enable mobile payments at select Chevron stations around the Bay Area. Now up and running in cities including Menlo Park, Santa Clara, San Francisco and San Ramon, Chevron customers at these stations can use any NFC-based mobile payment service both at the register and the pump. This means you can pay without your wallet and forget about PIN entry – just a tap of your phone and your transaction is complete.
At Visa, we believe mobile is transforming the way we shop and pay. We are proud to have collaborated with Chevron on this program to show consumers how mobile payments can help them speed through paying for everyday items like gasoline.
So go ahead, hit the road and tell us about your experience at @VisaNews!
