Megan currently plays as a defender for the Republic of Ireland national team and London City Lionesses who she recently joined for the 23/24 season.
Megan was born in Drogheda where she grew up playing football for local Drogheda teams. After playing at a senior level in the Republic of Ireland for a number of years, Megan ventured to the U.S.A where she played football alongside studies at Florida State University winning many accolades during that time.
Professionally Megan began playing for Manchester City in 2016. After 5 years there which included much success and a treble winning season in 2017, Megan moved to Liverpool. In her first season there she became an important member of the title-winning Liverpool team that won promotion back to the Women’s Super League.
Throughout her football career, she has been renowned as a long throw-in specialist. And at present has represented her country 47 times
During the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, Megan was a key member of RTE’s pundit team.
