Kosovare is a Swedish professional footballer, who plays as striker or attacking midfielder for Italian first division Serie A club, AC Milan and the Sweden national team. Nicknamed: “Kosse” or “Asllani”, she posseses great speed and technique in her game. Before signing for AC Milan she has played for Vimmerby IF, Linköpings FV, Kristianstads DFF, Chicago Red Stars, PSG, Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Since her debut in 2008, Asllani has made over 180 appearances for Sweden. Kosse won both Swedish women’s footballer of the year and women’s midfielder of the year in 2017 as well as midfielder and striker of the year more than once and more recently the Women’s Golden Foot award in 2022. Kosovare has also been honoured with her own football facility, Asllani Court in her home town Vimmerby.
Kosovare was an integral player in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, placing third with Sweden.
