England and Chelsea striker Kirby is amongst the most successful football stars in history having won the Women’s Super League five times and the FA Cup three times with Chelsea whilst winning European Championship gold in 2022 with England. Fran Kirby's wildly successful career spans a wide range of international and domestic appearances, including key strikes during the WEURO 2017 and 2018 SheBelieves Cup and winning the European Championships in 2022 with England. She’s also currently excelling in the domestic game as a key player for an all-conquering Chelsea team.
The 2020-21 season has been Kirby’s best campaign to date. After 16 goals in 20 appearances as Chelsea won the quadruple, Kirby was awarded the PFA Women’s Players’ Player of the Year, FWA Women’s Footballer of the Year, London Football Awards Women's Super League Player of the Year, FA Women’s Super League Player of the Year and Chelsea Women's Player of the Year.
Shortly after helping England win the Arnold Clark Cup it was announced that Kirby would be taking a break from football due to a fatigue-related illness but she returned in time to make the Lionesses' EURO 2022 squad. Fran played a key role in the WEURO 2022 final and she was the player who set England on their way in the tournament with the assist to Beth Mead in the nervy opener against Austria.
Unfortunately, Fran missed out on the FWWC 2023 due to a knee injury but is now back on the field, playing at top level for Chelsea and England.
