Nélia Barbosa, a para kayaker from France

Barbosa had an outstanding performance at Tokyo 2020, where she represented France in the women’s KL3 event, earning a silver medal. This achievement showcases her talent and commitment, positioning her as one of the leading para-athletes in her field.

Despite the challenges of a genetic disease in her leg (Neurofibromatosis), Barbosa found solace and purpose in kayaking: a sport that not only accommodates her condition but also ignites her passion.
